Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.
Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him."
Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. - Matthew 2
Just as in those days long ago, evil men seek to harm Jesus & kill babies. You may ask who these evil people are today? They - as their spiritual forefather Herod - kill far more babies than Herod did or even could have through abortion. These same people take every opportunity to harm the Christ Child by:
1) Removing Prayer & Bible reading from our schools (and oh, how the schools have suffered & become academically inferior since).
2) Removing Crosses, Bible Verses & Manger Scenes from public, grave yards, mountain tops & academic buildings.
3) Attempting to change our nation from a somewhat Biblical Worldview to a Worldview of Paganism & Materialism.
According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day--with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods--so they are doing to you also. - 1 Samuel 8:8
"He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. - Matthew 10:40
